Love for “See Mystery Lights” by YACHT…

“The most exciting avant-garde outfit to flourish since The Knife… a quirkily compulsive collection of grooves that should soundtrack your Indian summer…”

NME – 8/10

“A sassy collage of Bowie’s Young Americans, post punk mavericks Tom Tom Club, and electro flavoured label-mates The Juan MacLean, garnished with flashes of post-modern wit”

Q – 4 Stars ****

“Inspiring stuff… YACHT’s lo-fi laptop robo-pop is cute, ramshackle and bursting with sonic oddities”

Time Out – 4 Stars ***

“See Mystery Lights is a kooky, wildly happy dance-pop album with a hint of the Balearic about it… Bechtolt and Evans nod towards NY post-punkers Liquid Liquid and ESG with their insistent bass-lines while the spoken-word style recalls the B52s”

Mixmag – 4 Stars ****

“The perfect combination of retro ‘80s summer pop and forward-thinking digital funk”

Clash – 9/10

“their most accessible album yet… recalls early Tom Tom Club and post punk contemporaries such as the Au Pairs and ESG, but with a modern DFA twist, ”

DJ Magazine – 4 Stars ****

“Exciting, confusing, and wholly worthwhile”

The Fly – 4 Stars ****

“They make you want to dance”

The Guardian – 4 Stars ****

“a blazing pop package… Genius”

Dazed and Confused

“brilliant electro-pop, as hypnotic as it is ecstatic”

Observer

“LCD Soundsystem-style dance punk… YACHT are a band that know how to party”

MOJO

“Genius… Great music to lose your mind to”

Artrocker

“Masterfully produced… every beat drops out of the speakers… This is recession-busting pop in all its glory”
