CATE LE BON releases her mesmerizing debut – “Me Oh My” – on 12th October on Irony Bored / Cooperative Music… A new force in song-craft, Le Bon grew up in Cardiff’s French quarter and first gained public attention when she supported Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals on his 2007 solo tour. She also appeared as guest vocalist on Neon Neon’s single, “I Lust U”.

As befits a songwriter who only writes in the dark, her album is a heady and highly personal Gallic stew of equal parts Nico, Bobbie Gentry, and the chronicler’s own emotional observations on the impossibility of existence… Artfully composed with a classic five-a-side formation, this lovingly constructed album boasts a concise palette of instrumentation played live by Cate and a fluid band of close friends. Perfectly illuminating both her writing skills and haunting vocals with understated menace and beauty…
